The Ameriflex HSA plan is a carded plan that covers all 213d expenses, long-term care, and COBRA premiums. For those over the age of 65, Medicare premiums are also covered. If the participant incurs an expense and does not use the card to pay for the expense, they can use the online Bill Pay feature to pay the provider directly or request a reimbursement. Checks are available to order from Avidia Bank at a cost of $8.00 for 25 checks, which is paid by the employee and at their request only. The order form for checks can be found by here.
Regardless of how a participant pays for a claim, they should always hang on to their receipts. While Ameriflex will not request copies of those receipts, they should keep them on file in case the IRS were to request copies.
