A Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) is a program that you can offer your employees that reimburses them for health and wellness expenses and sometimes other costs that aren’t typically covered under their standard health insurance. The LSA is a customizable program that you can tailor to the needs of both your organization and your employees to help with retention and attract high-quality workers.

With an LSA, your employees can use their Ameriflex Debit Mastercard to pay for eligible health and wellness expenses. Employees can also pay out of pocket and submit a claim form to Ameriflex for reimbursement. You will reimburse employees up to the maximum reimbursement limit if the expense is eligible.

Eligible Expenses

When setting up your LSA for your employees, you can hand-pick which expenses will be eligible under your plan. You may choose eligible expenses from three categories: physical wellness, financial wellness, and emotional wellness. Some possible selections from each category include:

Physical Wellness

  • Gym/Fitness Club Membership
  • Personal Trainer
  • Nutritional Supplements
  • Fitness Classes (Spin/Cycle, Yoga, Zumba, etc.)
Financial Wellness
  • ID Theft Expenses
  • Rent Assistance
  • Student Loan Reimbursement
  • Remote Working Expenses (Internet, Utilities, Office furniture, Supplies, etc.)
Emotional Wellness
  • Therapy/Counseling
  • Pet Insurance
  • Camping Expenses
  • Personal Development Classes (Cooking, Art, Carpentry, Trades, etc.)
