A Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) is a program offered by your employer that reimburses you for health and wellness expenses and sometimes other costs that aren’t typically covered under your standard health insurance. With an LSA, you can use your Ameriflex Debit Mastercard to pay for these health and wellness expenses. If needed, you can pay for them on your own and submit a claim form to Ameriflex for reimbursement. Your employer will reimburse you up to their maximum reimbursement limit if the expense is eligible.

LSA FAQs

  • What expenses are eligible?
    • Eligible expenses vary by employer. The most common eligible expenses include gym memberships, athletic equipment, and other services that encourage healthy living.
  • What’s the maximum amount I can be reimbursed monthly?
    • It varies by employer. Check with your HR team for plan specifics.
  • What happens to unused money at the end of the year?
    • Since an LSA is a reimbursement arrangement, not an account, unused money simply goes back to your employer.
