Why does it take so long for my COBRA to be active after I’ve made my payments?

  1. A notice is generated and remitted to your insurance company one business day after your payment is received and posted to your account. 
  2. Your insurance carrier then updates their records of your active status. 
  3. The insurance company asks participants to allow 7-10 business days for all systems and departments to update your active status.
